Antony Cotton signs another Corrie contract

Antony Cotton might be leaving Corrie temporarily to be a star in his own tea-time but he's revealed that he's signed to stay on the cobbles for another year. In Ian Wylie's fab telly blog on the Manchester Evening News website, Antony reveals exclusively to Ian that he's signed up for another year on Coronation Street.

I agree with Elizabeth 100 per cent...I am glad Anthony is staying...I hope Sean gets a boyfriend before the character leaves Corrie!

I always enjoy Sean, he's fun, funny, loyal and I think, adds a lot to the Street. He's about the only one who seems to appreciate Eileen for the great person she is. Now, if only he could get a nice boyfriend...

Hmmm. This chat show might put an end to the Sean over-kill. He never seems to get a day off. Always finds is way into every storyline. Wonder what the other cast are making of this?

Give over! He's one of the better actors on the show. At least he brings some levity (and when necessary - gravity) to otherwise sick story lines like Frankie and Jamie. I, too, wish he could find a nice fella - the vet was a bit of alright - too bad about Betty's cat though. He's queer and here to stay! Yay!

oh why can't they just get rid of him and do us all a favour. at this rate, he'll still be there in 50 years! he is the worst actor and character in corrie, even worse than dreadful dev!
