Bruce Jones' autobiography being planned

LES_BATTERSBY.jpgIf this story in The Sunday People is right, then Bruce Jones (Corrie's ex-Les Battersby) is getting ready to reveal all in a book. A source close to Coronation Street told the paper: "Bruce has got a deal in place to write his autobiography. After ten years on The Street he has got hundreds of juicy stories about his fellow stars. And he knows all the backstage wrangling, inflated egos and old rivalries. He is furious at the way he was suspended, then dumped from the show, and claims he's been 'crucified' by his bosses. He fears he's now unemployable as an actor and sees his future in writing. This book could be his pension fund and if he gets it out in time for Christmas and on to the best-sellers list it could make him a fortune. Corrie bosses are bracing themselves for what he's going to come out with."

Hmm, to this fan, it sounds about as dull as "the book they could not ban"

If he does the "smear campaign" in a book, then we can look forward to an endless series of appearances on reality tv, but no actual work.

There are always people who think they can make themselves look good by trashing others; all it really does is to make that person look worse. I think Annie and the others have it right; he'll just make himself more of a parriah.

I like watching train wrecks. I can't wait for Les, I mean Bruce (what's the difference?)to publish his poison. I'm sure it will be a real bell ringer!

Good for Bruce he should have never been sack. I suppose if he had taken drugs he probably wouls still in the street. And if as been reported that there is a new producer coming to the street maybe he can be restated.

I'd get an injunction on it if I were the top dog

I hope there are some libel cases against him if he decides there is money in smearing everybody.

Indeed... one would think that after being sacked by one the nation's top network telly companies, a person might want to not stick the knife in and twist it for fear of doing themselves further damage.

I feel that all Mr Jones will do as a result of such a "tell-all" autobiography is make himself even more unemployable. Maybe if he had kept his drinking habit in check, he wouldn't be unemployed now.

  • It must be something about living at No.5. I would advise Mr Jones to keep a safe distance from male strippers.
