Bradley Walsh in new ITV film

DANNY_BALDWIN.jpgCharles Dickens’ novel (did someone say novel?) The Old Curiosity Shop is being turned into a film. And Bradley Walsh, Corrie’s own Danny-boy Baldwin is one of the stars of the new movie. Ex-Coronation Street actor Bradley is currently in Dublin filming alongside Derek Jacobi, Zoe Wanamaker, Martin Freeman, Steve Pemberton and one of my favourite actresses, the lovely Gina McKee. She’s from Sunderland, you know. Anyway, the two-hour film will be shown on ITV later this year. Seems that as Bradley is now filming, his much-hyped chat show may have been shelved, or so it says here.

Does anyone really want Danny Baldwin to return to the Street?

    Got to have Danny back if it just to add some hunky excitement to the show. Baldwins always add that dangerous air to the goings on. All the women, Sally, Gail, Audrey, Liz, are boring and predictable. Danny will add some fun and danger,

    Now that Corrie is only on Sunday mornings over here until around the end of June.... I watch the show propped up in my bed drinking my morning brew (of coffee that is !)

    When Corrie is also showing during the week (Mon to Fri at 7 PM), I watch 2 episodes during the week and save the rest for Sunday morn.

    He hasn't even left the show yet over here in Canada but I know he is a BIG LOSS to the show.

  • Well, Gina's from Sunderland-ish! Peterlee to be precise, or that's where she grew up. The biogs available on line cannot seem to agree where she actually born but I agree she'a great actress.

    I miss Danny boy. He is back in December though for a few months isn't he? That might tie in with Jamie's exit at the end of Winter.

    I imagine his talk show has been ditched, especially if they want Mince Meat (to use a Danny line) is taking time out to front a show.

    Much as I hate to admit it I would love to see him back on the cobbles. Mostly for his smarm and funny one liners. Maybe he could come back and take over the factory again now that Paul Conner has gone. Now, how would Leanne react to that one.

    I'd like to see him back. the Street is lacking something not having a Baldwin around. Jamie will soon be gone, won't he? or am i remembering something wrong?
