When the smoking ban comes into force in the UK on July 1 what will the smokers in the Rovers do? Where will they go? Will they stand outside of the pub puffing in the doorway or will the management build a canopy shelter for them to take a drag in comfort? Will any of them give up their fags, as this one was warned by the doctors to do so? Let's see, how many regular, current characters smoke? Well, there's Deirdre, Janice, Liz and Becky. Can you think of any more?

I'm actually quite surprised David hasn't started smoking since it would be a great way to wind up Gail. Perhaps the actor does't smoke in real life. None of the young characters do, now i think of it which is rather unrealistic. I think Steve is about the only one that does occasionally and he's over 30 now so he probalby doesn't count as one of the younger set anymore
I hope we see it mentioned. Most will probably park themselves on Maxine's bench.
