There’s a long, lovely interview with Jane Danson, who plays Leanne Battersby, in the Bury Times. It’s well worth reading as the Coronation Street actress reveals that she’s signed to Corrie for another year but says “I can't really look beyond that. I'm enjoying work and I'm absolutely loving being a mum as well. I don't plan too far ahead because I don't have much choice with that."
I think Corrie would be mad to lose her after the year’s up, she’s fast becoming the new Elsie Tanner in my eyes - well, maybe.
