Just who was Agnes the tea lady? For those not in the know, we'll have a little reminder. Before Coronation Street first aired in 1960, Tony Warren tried to gauge an idea of its popularity by making the Granada staff watch the dry runs of the show and write their thoughts on a questionnaire. At this time, the title of the programme was Florizel Street and it was Agnes the tea lady who commented that it "sounded like a disinfectant" and the name was hastily changed. Whatever happened to Agnes? Is she still there serving tea to Jane Danson and Antony Cotton or has she passed to the great tea urn in the sky? Wherever you are, Agnes, we thank you! Otherwise we would be reading Florrieblog! [Elsie Tanner]

I like the idea of a Florrieblog!! :-)
Yeah Florrieblog sounds good. You should change it for a day. Anyway, thank you Agnes, for changing that. Coronation Street sounds much better.
