Confirmed: Sean and Violet have a Corrie baby

baby.jpgThere have been rumblings of rumours for a while but it now looks to be confirmed that Sean Tully and Violet Wilson will have a Corrie baby together. The Daily Star says that Sean’s more than happy to be a dad to Violet’s baby and tells her he’ll be as involved or uninvolved in the baby’s life as Violet wants him to be. Mind you, he also warns her that the baby could come out with excellent taste in fashion and be partial to musical theatre! A baby, pictured, might look similar to the one that Violet and Sean have. Other babies are available and probably will affect your statutory rights.

I think this is really nice story as the two of them have been friends for ages and if Violet wants a baby and Sean wants to be a dad, then it seems the perfect arrangement – or does it?

Does tthis mean voilet and sean have feelings for eachother? because i think they may do if he wants to father her baby.

Sorry if this is a bit belated!

    I think it's a lovely storyline.

Don't forget that even children born into "stable" relationships can have a desperately unhappy time! The relationships can break up...

Sean is my favourite character (you'd never guess)

I think he'd be a great dad (fidgety, but great)

    And I love Violet too.

I'm glad they're going ahead with it

  • Well said Lubin. Corrieblog will not tolerate homophobic comments on this blog and I have removed Tom's comment.

"Sean is an awful, disgusting camp gay man (although i have nothing against gays) and would repulse any child born to him."

Nothing against gays? Yeah right. You're a homophobic bigot sweetheart. That's what you are. Sean's lovely.

Apparently Pearl that was all rumour and conjecture, and Jenny Platt is indeed staying as Violet.

I too think this is a bad idea, enough kids are born into unstable relationships with out setting out to do it from the get go. Besides I though the actor playing Violet was not renewing her contract so how much longer is she going to be around?

What do you mean by turkey baster? I hope not the procedure IVF! This is a wonderful advancement in reproductive health that allows many loving couples to have a child who nromally couldn't. The actor who portrayed Curly became a father as a result of his wife undergoing IVF.

I think this sounds nasty. Dread it.

Dreadful idea, a child is not a commodity. We had the turkey baster done on Brookside ten years ago.

I like both characters, but don't like the thought of them having a child together! A child should have a committed couple for parents ideally. This only confuses children!

It's a nice throw back to the scene where they said they'd have a baby together if neither of them was attached by a certain age, too. It's got the potential for closeness and also has the potential to ruin the friendship as well.

Sounds like a good storyline, something fresh, I don't think its been done in any soap before, or has it?
