Actress Wanda Opalinska, who plays Coronation Street's Polish knicker-stitcher Vicki, has recently shown what a good actress she is. Since the killing of Kasia, Vicki (or is it Wiki as the Corrie credits have it?) has done more than sit around and tut at Janice Battersby and I reckon she'd be good to have on the Street as a regular cast member. Does anyone agree? Find out more about the Corrie Polish connection.

I honestly don't see the point of her, or the other Poles in the factory.
I like her, and think she has potential to be a regular permanent character. The factory needs someone who can give as good as she gets when it comes to Janice Battersby (who I really dont see why they bought her back, apart from disapproving of Leanne all she does is make gobby remarks).
Vicky is a must and she is wonderful, possibly a great mate for Hayley also. Get rid of "Motor Mouth" Battersby who, I agree, only gobs off all the time and is extremely annoying, and keep Vicky. (Kelly can go too) Vicky and Hayley have great leadership skills.
I agree - Wiki is wonderful - I think she is a fab addition to the cast. :)
I think it's great that there's Polish people in the cast, working at the factory, because there would be in real life too! Most people I know work with at least one Polish person
I mentioned in a comment on an earlier blog (I think one of Glenda's excellent episode reviews) that I would love to see more of Wiki. I think that Wanda Opalinska has shown herself to be a fantastic actress on many levels and I would be delighted to see her stick around for a while.
Agree that like Vicky and hope they bring her family in. Also agree that what is the point of Motormouth Battersby, dont really see the point of Leeane's return either although Jane Danson plays her well enough.
Yep, keep Vicky, and get rid of Janice. She annoys me as much as Vernon does, and that's saying something!
I agree I think Wiki is the best factory girl (because she shouted at Jan)
I like Wiki. Wanda has shown herself to be a fantastic actress.
The charcter of Wiki is a good one and has been played superbly by Wanda Opalinska. To have a fairly big storyline so early on is great for her characters development. I would love to see her become a permanent addition and i wouldn't mind seeing her family turn up as well. I would like them to become Street residents.
Perhaps in Bev Unwin's old flat?
I'd like to see her stay too and blackmail the Connors!
Yay love the Polish Chick in it as she is awsome keep me watching since all my faves gone!! lol yeh how long ago since the last polish chacrater left??
Vicki is a fabulous character and I love the fact that she is able to handle that evil Janice. Where else other than the knicker factory would anybody be able to act the way she does and still keep her job (and has done through at least three different owners).
I know I'm behind the times with this one but I've only just twigged that Vicki is played by my old mate Wanda, who I knew from my uni days in Birmingham. Haven't seen her since we I was living in London years back and she looks very different now. Keep Vicki in, I am delghted Wanda has finally got her big break. Her old drama teacher said she would probably have to wait till she was old enough to get decent character parts before her acting career would take off - I'm so pleased she stuck at it. Go Wanda!
Go Viki! Brilliant edition to the factory and glad someone stands up to that Janice!

Huge opportuntiy for new story lines if Vicki is kept. Perfect opportunity for script writers to delve into the real issues the Polish workforce face integrating into a northern town. Vicki has much more credibility than the other new additions to the street.
I'm not a Corrie fan but she used to be my English teacher so I hope she gets a permanent place in the programme, she was great at acting angry in class and I'm sure she's good in Corrie!
