When Underworld gets raided by the rozzers looking for illegal workers, it’s not Polish Vicky that gets nabbed by the cops – it’s Joanne Jackson! She’s taken to a deportation centre and told she faces being sent back to her home country of Liberia. Zaraah Abrahams, who plays Joanne, told Inside Soap magazine: “Joanne’s interviewed and tries to cover by saying she doesn’t have a passort because she’s scared of flying. But the police catch her out and she goes into panic mode. It never really occurred to her that she was seriously breaking the law and she’s terrified of being forced to leave the country.” Hmm… so how did her “twin” sister Jessie get a job flying as a trolly dolley - from an airport that doesn’t exist?

I think Corrie have chosen to ignore her sister and the fact she got a job easily, so must have had the right papers, etc.

This is typical of Coronation Street these days. I really do believe that half the writers have never even seen previous episodes and just write more and more outrageous stories without knowing the history.
From what I rememmber her 'twin' sister got a job at an airline that only did domestic routes. I seem to remember that the glamorous stopovers included Norwich and Southampton.
Joanne's "twin" sister Jessie is in fact her cousin - the daughter of Joanne's aunt who brought her back from Liberia.
