Whose wedding dress is this?

Since it's been a quiet weekend here on Corrieblog, I thought you might like this blast from a past Coronation Street  wedding which probably should have been included in the recent Memorable Weddings blog. Whose wedding dress is this? The wedding took place in the 1980s and was a lavish affair with a totally inappropriate dress for the wearer. Can you guess who that was? It was the wedding of Bet and Alec Gilroy in 1987. Talk about mutton dressed as lamb! Did you know that Roy Barraclough's suit was way too big for him and the cuffs of his trousers had to be pinned up? At least neither of them jilted the other, which does happen on the Street.
