Real Coronation Street to be preserved
Salford City Council have announced that the real Coronation Street, which inspired our favourite show, is to be slapped with a preservation order. The street, which retains most of its original architecture, also contains Salford Lads' Club, which was immortalised when featured in a picture of The Smiths (left) on the inside cover of their 1987 album The Queen Is Dead.
As an aside, wouldn't you just love to see Morrissey as a Corrie guest star? [lee c]

Great news.
