The Daily Mirror says that Dev Alahan is going to get a makeover as he tries to revive his waning pulling power. Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) is stung when the wonderful Amber (Nikki Patel) tells him he’s past it and in danger of turning into an ageing Casanova. As Dev looks set to woo newcomer Jodie Morton, he’s going to have his work cut out to shape up. The paper says that in scenes to be shown next month, Amber will help her dozy dad smarten up and slim down after he ends up looking ridiculous when he tries to chat up a woman in the shop. Now then, I quite fancied Dev when he first appeared on the cobbles, did anyone else? But I did wonder a while ago if he’d lost it. I just hope this makeover helps him find it again.

I really do like Dev, he's one of my favourites...
...in fact, I think that a lot of people like him, there's just a stigma around his character.
I mean, he must be so lonely. He was just sat in t'Rovers last night on his own...his drinking pals Mike & Fred have vanished, Sunita is now living in the darker side of Weatherfield and as for Mad Maya...?

Not a Dev fan here. He came across as a slimy git from the start, together with his over acting there is yards of room for improvement. Amber is great though.

I'm with you, Pearl. Dev is shallow and self centered and i don't find him handsome or sexy at all.
I'm not a huge Dev fan either. I liked his cousin, whose name I can't think of now, but was played by Chris Bisson, I believe, much better. Dev has always seemed sort of smarmy to me.
Just change his hair please!!! I hate looking at it...Keep Amber though...She is a diamond!

I hadn't actually thought of the impact of the loss of Fred and Mike on his character until that above comment.
