When we wondered last week about Ken Barlow's son Daniel, and whether he would ever return to Coronation Street, little did we know that Daniel Osbourne was being mentioned elsewhere. I’ve found this wonderful interview online with Bill Roache, who plays Ken Barlow, and in it he says “… and there’s an illegitimate son going to knock at the door any day”.
However, I think it’s wishful thinking on my part that it’ll be any day soon, but still, it could be a pointer to a potential storyline.

No worries about where he'll sleep, because as we know there's an infinite number of bedrooms at #1. In the same way as the front room expanded magically to accommodate Ken's party, the bedrooms increase in number to accommodate however many people need to sleep there.
Ah but maybe William Roache wasn't talking about Daniel. After all Daniel would only be about 10. Given the number of flings Ken's had over the years, this son could be anyone.
Daniel was not illegitimate was he. He was in a relationship with Denise.
Ah, so there could be other Barlow's seeking bed space at No 1? Interesting!
Daniel was not a illegitimate child. Ken was married to his mother but the mother took off with Daniel.
I think Bill Roache was talking about another child that will pop up...
