In times gone by, Hilda Ogden’s ‘muriel’ and Vera Duckworth’s stone-cladding were enough to fill the Street’s residents with fear. Now almost every house has its own gruesome story to tell, and No. 6. is certainly at the top of the grisly-o-meter. The first owners, Des and Steph Barnes moved into the house in 1990, as a symbol of the new decade, but within eight years Des would be carried out feet first, after ‘death by coffee table‘. A number of years later, Des’ step-son, Tony Horrocks, met a mysterious end at the hands of Jez Quigley. Fast-forward (or is that re-wind?) our minds to 2002, and the Harris clan move to Weatherfield, themselves having experienced death after mother Angela was involved in a murder case. In 2005, student Katy mustered all the strength she could to bludgeon dad Tommy around the head with a wrench, and then promptly went on a sugar-bender and killed herself, leaving her mother to take the blame. A couple of years later, after Tracy Barlow’s plotting, planning and “seductive” dancing, the carpet of No. 6. is again stained with blood, as Madame Barlow walloped Charlie Stubbs around the head with her British Soap Award for 'Best Bitch’. Have any of the other homes on Coronation Street been filled with such blood and misery, or will No. 6. retain its most gruesome crown? [Elsie Tanner]
In two months time a new family called the Mortons will move in to No. 6. Morton senior will be played by Michael Starke, better known as Sinbad from Brookside and his daughter Jodie will be played by Samantha Seager. Corrieblog wishes the new family good luck as they're going to need it!

I was discussing this the other day and this house really is the house of horrors.
I don't think the other properties get close to number 6 in terms of death and destruction.
