Dinnerladies star joins Coronation Street

Comments (10)

Andrew_dunn It says here that Dinnerladies actor Andrew Dunn willl be joining Coronation Street as Janice Battersby's new bloke, Roger.  Andrew played Tony in Victoria Wood's fab Dinnerladies sitcom and he turns up in Corrie to fix Janice's plumbing and give her pipes a thorough going over. Calm down dear, he's only a plumber!  But when Roger the plumber and Janice grow close on the cobbles, he gets offered a three month job in France. The big question is - will Janice go with him?

Will anyone know that he was Liz's miserable boss when she was working in a pub a few years ago?

Identity fraud? LOL!

I remember-he played Laurie Dyson. Lol! Actors return to Corrie quicker than they do in The Bill now in different roles!

James, I shouldn't think anyone will remember he was on Corrie before. No one seems to have noticed that Peggy Mitchell has turned up from Walford as Danny's mum Viv!

Danny's mum is Fletcher's daughter in Porridge not Peggy Mitchell....

I too remember him being on Corrie before. Yep Janice should go with him, she's not actually doing much on Corrie these days, so she might as well not be around for a bit.

James, i think that was a joke mate.

Moving on.....

A great casting for the role and i look forward to seeing him on screen alongside motor mouth Janice. Though i would rather see him stay on the Street properly even though i couldn;t care less about Janice.

I agree with you Sue, PLEASE let gobby Janice go to France and stay there. I CAN'T STAND HER!!!!

Is this the man appearing with the five kids?
Look forward to this!

By the way, the kids are 20, 18, 18, 13 and 6!

I hope he stays, he was a real star in Dinnerladies as Tony (Im 'avin a fag)!!!

I Would Like To Be A Star In CORONATION STREET Can I
