Sue Cleaver’s Illness Upsets Corrie Festive Filming

Sue Cleaver who plays the wonderful Eileen Grimshaw is suffering from gastric flu, says the Daily Mirror. Sue was sent home after seeing the doc and she’s been too ill to continue filming Coronation Street’s festive scenes this week. A Corrie source told the paper: "Sue is probably going to be off a week so many scenes have to be re-jigged, re-written and re-scheduled. Deadlines are so tight now. Production staff are desperately trying to figure out how to catch up. The scenes with Sue are integral."  Let’s home she gets well soon as Eileen is needed in Corrie’s Christmas Day episode!  She opens her front door to one of Jason's one-night stands – who hands Eileen her baby, saying it’s time that Jason took responsibility! Eileen gets Jason (Ryan Thomas) out of the Rovers where he’s with girlfriend Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien), hands him the baby and says: "Happy Christmas".  Eileen  will also be at Violet's bedside after complications set in with her pregnancy.  Get well soon, Sue!
