It had to happen and I’m glad it has because the sooner Danny found out his son and ex-wife/wife-to-be were ducking and diving under the duvet, the sooner it’ll all be over and we can go on with life in Weatherfield without the cocky cockneys. Am I being too mean? I don’t think so. I’m bored with the Baldwins, next!
Jason and Sarah go the flicks (am I the only person in the world who still calls them flicks?). Jason wants to see James Bond (I highly recommend it) but Sarah wants something girly so she can snuggle into Jason in the dark and crush his chocs. As you’d expect, Gail and Eileen aren’t best pleased the romance looks like it’s back on.
Les reckons Cilla’s having an affair because of her odd behaviour and he checks up on her in the chippy constantly all day.
Becky’s mate Slug comes into the café and upsets Vera no end. Vera tells Hayley that Becky’s been nicking money from the till and says she’s got “fingers like flypaper”. Hayley’s still keen to see the best in Becky although everyone else has just about given up.
And the factory girls win a darts match when Janice scores the winning arrow. Their opponents were Underworld management and at stake was the factory Christmas do. When the girls win, Paul Connor tells Liam he let them win on the sly, for two reasons. The first was for staff morale and the second was to upset Danny Baldwin. Good plan!.
