They’ve been at it for weeks, the three of them. Danny says he loves Frankie but she’s got the hots for Jamie yet she’s gone and got engaged to Danny. Jamie’s gone dopey and fell out with best mate Sean, who works for Danny and warns him off Frankie. This week Jamie and Frankie will get some sub-duvet action and when Danny finds out he thinks about topping himself and then tries to kill Jamie in the canal. I’ve had enough of the lot of them. Bored, no. Disgusted, yes. I hate this storyline. It was the Danny and Frankie relationship that really got me watching Corrie as I thought they were fantastic together and their love was so well written and now all of a sudden she loves her step son ? Out of nowhere ? Yuk.
I agree with Katie, the characters of Danny and Frankie had something. Danny screwed it up with little hussy Leane, but you knew Frankie would still end up with Danny in the end.
The closest I can think of is Mike and Alma. Even when he screwed things up with getting involved with Linda, he was with Alma at the end. And had she lived I am sure they would have ended up together.
The incest storyline (cause it is close enough to be called that) makes me wonder about the mindset of the writer in charge of that particular tidbit.
Why did they take interesting characters and turn them nasty and perverted.
I loved the characters, but I too hate the storyline.
I am seriously wondering if the show is worth watching anymore, on a personal level of course.
I actually like the storyline but I don't like what the writer's have them saying and doing. I think a Jamie/Frankie relationship would be great if they didn't make Jamie look like a pyscho stalker and Frankie like a lunatic that flip flops every two seconds. And what's with Frankie slapping Jamie across the face all the time. I'd be having a word with the writer's if it was my show.

I agree Susan, it's very rare for a soap relationship to really *click* and work, and Frankie and Danny had this fabulous "meant to be" quality, despite mistakes. I was genuinally hooked to see them find their way back to one another and then this storyine comes out of NOWHERE.
I could handle it if it was one sided with Jamie, some osrt of deeply buried desire to get back at his Father so long as Frankie didn't respricate but that she would want to be sexually involved with the boy she's raised since childhood and who shares genes with her own son is just really sick.
Worst of all though, we have been shown since the beginning that she can't help but love Danny, that they're soul mates. She was angry and hurt and confused but she loved him despite it all. Now we're being shown that she can barley even let him touch her ! Hello ?!?

No, The Baldwins RULE!! Not overly keen on this storyline, but I suppose it has been gripping in some respects and will certainly get better in the next 2 weeks.

I love the Baldwins,especially Jamie.I know it's controversial but it's a great storyline.It's so well acted & it's good to have something abit different & a touch darker.
I've always thought there was chemistry between Frankie & Jamie & i've been waiting for this storyline for 2 years!!
Can't wait for the coming weeks & all the dramatics!
here in canada we havent' gotten there yet, but we are awaiting with much anticipation!!!
storyline cool debra does a great job as frankie and its not sick fair enough she raised him up but she is not related to him so back off corrie well done with storyline

Well some people in Canada may like it when we finally get to see the episode, but I for one think it is sick. When it does come on, I will do dishes or put on the mute button. Controversial, for sure, but it takes the fun out of the Street. Granted they are not related but the thought of it....Please people, advise if this will be a long story line.

I think Jamie and Frankie make a fantastic couple; there's definite chemistry between them. I do feel sorry for Danny but he has treated Frankie very badly in the past, and Jamie has always been there for her.
I accept that he's her stepson but they're not blood relatives and they're closer in age than her and Danny.
Great acting - I think Rupert Hill is fantastic. Jamie's (Rupert)character has really developed and it is apparent that he has struggled with his feelings for a long time.
Having said that, with Frankie and Danny leaving, I would love Jamie to get back with Violet. They are great together. This is soapland after all and anything is possible.
I think its cool, i mean sure there are going to be people out there that dont approve of Frankie and Jamie, but if they can see beyond the stepson/mother relatoinship they have been there for each other since the moment they arrived. Frankie's always had a soft spot for Jamie, no wonder she's fallen for him after all the heartache Danny has put her thru. And why not, Jamie is a looker! I think its nice that two lovely characters are getting together. Bah to Danny, he deserves the shock he is going to get! Im in NZ and Danny and Leanne have just got together properly, so we're a long way away from this, but i cant wait to see it. Such a shame Debra is leaving, she is my favourite on the show.

I can see that, running out of storylines, a scriptwriter might come up with this...but it just doesn't work. It's been taken too far...an issue that could have been dealt with by a rejection of Jamie from Frankie would still have provided the social context, but its so blindingly obvious that some characters are going to have to go to resolve the 'issue' that I just think...well, who's that going to be?...not 'what happens next?'. And yes, it's beginning to get rather boring and I have ceased caring what happens next in any case and just wish this storyline would play out and go away.
This sort of storyline happens in everday life, and it's great that Corrie are mirroring it and are making people aware, however gros it is, it does happen. I think all the actors hve acted their little socks off, and they shouldnt be the ones getting the stick. I think the stroyline has lots of depth and really brings out the characters. If you were thinking it's getting boring, then you're wrong, because next week, Danny finds out and Danny and Jamie have a brutal fight in the canal leading to serious consqecuences. Then Danny tries to commit suicide, and leaves Corrie. Everything is coming to a head now, and it has hardly been going on for ages, soit's hardly boring.
However of course, i would way have preferred Danny getting back with Frankie, but this is a powerful storyline, and at the end of the day, it's only a TV show!
so no i'm NOT bored with the Baldiwins. In fact i love them more than ever!
I am undecided about this storyline to be honest, I personally don't think that the Frankie/Jamie relationship is sick just eyebrow raising I have to admit it does make good viewing. It's been nice to see more of Sean because I think Anthony Cotton is an A class actor and the way he is playing Sean in this storyline just proves that for me. This also for me shows the difference between the Corrie lovers and the Eastenders lovers because when the famous 'Ehannis' as it was called storyline came about few thought it was wrong and thousands loved it! But it seems the other way round here more people thinks that Jamie and Frankie being together is sick, which is fair enough but apparently controversial storylines pull in the viewers and it is certainly going to take more then this to make me stop watching Corrie I'm addicted! lol
