Yay or nay: Should Rita get off with Norris?

Love is very close to hate isn't it? Nora has already reported on one blossoming relationship for Weatherfield's greatest pedant, but I'm still holding out for the big romance. Ever since a stoned Rita admitted she loved Norris, I have been harbouring a secret longing for the two to get it together. Do you think it ever will or is it on the long list of things that aint never gonna happen? So Yay or Nay, should Norris and Rita cement their coupling across the lemon bon bon jars or ensure an early rising for the papers in the morning by spending the night before together? Oh leave them alone. Not everyone needs to be paired off romantically in this life, and it is more realistic for them to work side by side as sparring partners. Norris is a character of splendid complexity and is well able to carry storylines of his own.

As a viewer from the other side of the pond, where we are still approximately 9 months behind in viewing Corrie episodes ....I say NAY. Couldn't even imagine Rita with Norris .... unless something changed dramatically between Norris and Rita that we have not seen over here - NAY - Por Favor!!!!!

It was bad enough when they paired Rita up with Alex Gilroy (and the door between the two flats).

NoooOOOOOoooo Norris and Rita have no romantic chemistry. Norris is Mavis for the 21st century and they're a good double act but not as romantic partners. Never.
