Sue Cleaver dubbed the 'Paul Burrell of Soapland

As such an ardent fan of the redoutable Eileen Grimshaw and the hugely talented actress who plays her, I like to lap up reports about her in the media. Imagine my sheer delight then when Woman's Own devoted a two-page spread and (wow) the front cover to Sue Cleaver and Antony Cotton. (Many apologies if I'm starting to sound like a stalker) They are described as Corrie's odd couple. There's been a few already, I'd say, but still. it's a fun interview and the best bit is when Antony describes Eileen as being a 'rock' for Sean. "She's the Paul Burrell of Soapland," he observes. How funny is that? I love it. I only wish Sue would also grace the creepy crawlies of the Aussie rainforest with her presence - now that would be worth seeing. She'd be much, much more fun to watch than Chris Bisson was a couple years back, that's for sure. [Linda Jones]
