Watching an old 1973 episode of Corrie on DVD t'other night I was a bit surprised to see the Duke of Bedford as himself in Coronation Street. He appeared as part of a charabanc trip from the cobbles to Woburn Abbey and was met by Ena and Minnie, Annie Walker and Stan and Hilda Ogden. This got me wondering which other famous people have appeared on Corrie - as themselves. There have been quite a few who have appeared as an extra or a fully scripted character but what about themselves? The only ones I can think of are Status Quo. Can you recall any more?
