Why no justice for Sue Cleaver?

Like our respected leader Flaming Nora, I too sat and gawped at the recent Soap Awards. There have already been widespread post-mortems into how on earth those cheeky cockerney sparras and overly randy but somehow endearing yokels snatched victory from Corrie’s grasp in so many categories. But I have just one more statement to add: Sue Cleaver you was robbed. Even the esteemed Ally Ross (now he should be on the list) agrees with me in today's Sun. I was already a fan but never realised quite how much I admired this wonderful actress until she was pitted against a stage school starlet and lost. I remember her in Tony Garnett’s brilliant The Cops and have loved every minute of her appearance in the Street. Does anyone recall her character called Glenda the bread woman in Dinnerladies? Forumites over at Digital Spy have also got their knickers in a twist.  Here’s hoping justice is done next year. [Linda Jones]
