Who's the best Rovers landlady?

All this anticipation of the British Soap Awards* and especially fighting talk from a certain landlady from a certain other ‘continuing drama’ has put one question to the front of my mind: Who is the best Coronation Street landlady ever? We’ve already discussed who the best stand-in has been but who is the shining star of the most hotly contested spot on the Street in your opinion? My money would be on Bet Lynch, closely followed by Annie Walker. Next would come Vera Duckworth and after that Shelley Unwin. Bet was such a legend, wasn't she? I'll look forward to reading Julie Goodyear's biography. I lapped up an 'unauthorised' version called Queen of the Street some years ago. Made an innocent girl like me blush a bit though.
