Ex Coronation Street stars join forces in Kay Mellor’s latest drama

News reaches Corrieblog that May is pencilled in as the last month of filming for Kay Mellor’s new drama The Chase. It’ll be no surprise to learn that twinkle-toed ice dancer Gaynor Faye is to star in this new series based on a vets' practice in Yorkshire. But more good news is that Michelle Holmes (formerly barmaid Tina – that’s after she made her name in Rita, Sue and Bob too) is also in the cast. Michelle has also been in Common as Muck. Kay was also responsible for certain episodes of Children’s Ward, which featured one Vicky Binns. Oh what a close-knit web Corrie weaves...and that's before you get started on Playing the Field.
