Desperate Housewives, Coronation Street style

Corrie fans can't have failed to notice some similarities between the women of Weatherfield and those on Wisteria Lane.  So we wondered what the Desperate Housewives would look like if they lived on the cobbles and which Weatherfield women they'd turn into.  More suggestions welcome!

Flame haired-Bree would surely turn into Rita.

Both of them had husbands die in tragic circumstances and let's face it - neither of them are strangers to a tipple at the bar!

  Lynette would turn into Gail Platt. 

Both are working mums trying to manage unruly kids - although without much success, it has to be said!

  Edie would surely turn into Audrey, don't you think?

Both of them have their own businesses, are blonde, brazen and a bit of a go-er.

  Soppy Susan will realise she can't be stick-thin all her life.

Once on the Street she'll see sense and starting eating pies, barmcakes and the odd hot-pot.

  And child-free Gabby Solis would find solace in religion, a tight perm  and comfortable shoes.
