Betty’s Hot Pot Faces Chop

Comments (3)

Betty_williams It’s a Coronation Street nightmare – but the Daily Mirror says that Betty’s hot pot could be facing the chop!  Yes, the paper says that the Rovers will wrestle with new rules which force landlords to choose between allowing smoking or serving hot food. And scriptwriters have been told to start preparing for the end of the hot-pot.  A Corrie source told the paper that the move has a horrified Betty, played by Betty Driver, fearing for her job.  She tells Shelley Unwin, played by Sally Lindsay: “I’ll be out the door before my last Hot Pot’s even gone cold”.   So what do you think the Rovers should keep - smoking or Hot Pot?

Save Betty's Hot pot please. It wouldn't be the Rovers without it. Smoking SUCKS!!!!

Since, I just starting reading the Corrieblog a short while ago, I'm just now reading some of the previous entries and hence the reason for this late entry ..... please please please keep Betty's Hot Pot... I think it is important to keep some of the things in place for some continuity of sorts and that would even include things like Betty's Hot Pot. I know you cannot replace people, but the loss of the character Mike Baldwin feels huge to me (although I know here in Canada we won't be seeing that for several months yet) ... so it might make sense not to change too much more at this time. Somehow the saying "everything that is old is new again." Does that make some sense? (I hope so)

please save the hotpot, smoking in public places is terrible
