Spider Swaps Street for Holby City

Martin Hancock, best remembered as Corrie’s Spider Nugent, will return to telly in the part of lab researcher, Reg Lund in Holby City on January 17.  Martin joined the Corrie cast in 1997 as Emily Bishop's eco-warrior nephew - and became a firm favourite of mine.
Spider last appeared on the Street in 2003 and then Martin went on to appear in 24 Hour Party People, Chasing Liberty, and Trauma.  Last year he featured in multi-million dollar epic Kingdom of Heaven and Channel 4 drama The Somme.
