I’m Off, I Say, It’s Bad

John Savident who plays burly butcher Fred Elliot is reported in The Sun saying he thinks Corrie has gone downhill since it went five times a week. John has already announced that he’s leaving the soap later this year after 11 years playing Fred.  He’s quoted in the paper saying: “Now it’s got to five episodes it’s awful because you can’t maintain the standard. All they are interested in are shareholders and viewing figures. You can’t be interested in quality if you’re doing five episodes.”  Personally, I think he’s spot on and I could well do without two episodes each Monday – what do you think?
