Sneak Preview - CHRISTMAS DAY!

Christmas Day dawns in Weatherfield as an excited Ashley and Claire wait for Josh to open his presents. Claire has an extra special present for Ashley when she tells him she’s expecting a baby Peacock.
Penny puts her worries about Mike’s health to one side to enjoy the day. But as the rest of the Baldwins gather at the Clock for Christmas dinner, Mike makes a massive mistake which leaves everyone wondering just what’s wrong with him. Even Mike realises that something’s not right and tearfully confesses to Jamie that he’s really worried.
Also at the Clock, Carol has agreed to spend the day with Eric the bookie but as she watches Danny  and Leanne she starts drinking and it isn’t long before she causes a disturbance and the waiter asks her to leave.

At the Barlows’, Tracy is less than impressed to be sharing the day with not only her daughter, mum, step-dad and gran, but also with Amy’s dad Steve, his new girlfriend Ronnie, Steve’s mum Liz and her new fella Vernon! So she’s over the moon when a knock at the door announces the arrival of her new fella, bad boy builder Charlie.
The one place where things seem to be going smoothly is at the Battersby- Browns’. Fiz can’t believe the scene of domestic harmony she discovers at number 5 for lunch. But in true Les and Cilla style, things go spectacularly wrong and when the cooker fails to work they hit on the harebrained idea of deep frying the entire meal – including the turkey - over at the chippy - with explosive results.
