Wales on Sunday report that legal action could be taken against Bradley Walsh who plays Danny Baldwin, after he failed to turn up for a charity Christmas do. Bradley was billed as guest speaker at the Newport and Gwent Chamber of Commerce's Christmas lunch last week. But the actor pulled out at the last minute because he was filming Corrie’s Christmas panto. When Bradley did a no-show at the Welsh event, spoon-bending psychic Uri Geller stepped in at the last minute as a replacement. One guest told the paper that Uri wowed around 500 people at the dinner. Yes, but how did they eat their pudding with a bent spoon?
A Coronation Street spokesperson told the paper that filming of the panto had taken place over the last two weeks and, interspersed with the main programme schedule, it was "incredibly hectic". The spokesman confirmed: “Unfortunately, we have had to pull Bradley back in to shoot some scenes for the panto which we were unable to do so far and he will be working all weekend. Bradley is really sorry to disappoint any fans and hopes to visit the area again some time in the future."
