Sultry Sarah the Street’s teenage temptress might have her claws into Jason on the Street at the moment but in real life actress Tina O’Brien showed her more caring side when she took an injured bird to Animals in Distress. Aah, bless. The Manchester Evening News says that Tina’s cat Miffy caught a sparrow which ended up badly hurt and so she took it along to the animal sanctuary in Irlam. Sadly the sparrow died but Tina was so impressed with the work of the volunteers there that she agreed to attend the Animals in Distress fair this weekend on Saturday, November 19.
Tina told the paper: "Animals in Distress operate on a shoestring budget and do a wonderful job. I hope people can join me down at Silver Street on Saturday and spend a little cash or make a donation to keep the sanctuary going."
